Napkin dispenser lawn care marketing idea. GopherHaul Lawn Care Business Show.

Thursday, September 9th, 2010
TeamGopher asked:

www.gopherforum.com - I just love the creative marketing ideas that get posted on the Gopher Lawn Care Business Forum. There are so many ideas posted, you will never run out of ways to promote yourself. Lets talk about the latest great idea. One of our members shared with us a story on how he uses napkin dispensers to promote his real estate business. He wrote I advertise in about 25 to 30 restaurants right now. I went and bought these great Napkin Holders that you can put ads on both sides. None of the restaurants charge me anything at all to put these dispensers in their location. When I recently bought the napkin holders, they where only $5 bucks each. I not only sold a couple house from those ads, but people run into me and say they are sick of seeing my face all over the place. That is good! I also bought a bunch of the large stand up napkin holder that have my advertising on the front of them. I have them in about 20 gas stations next the fountain drinks. The good thing about gas stations, they get tons of traffic to see the advertising. I put my outdoor business card holders on the top of these so people can Take A Card and the card holder does not fall open or go all over the place if someone knocks it over or when they put more napkins in the holder. They work great for me. THINK OUTSIDE OF THE BOX! You can see a picture of this display here http I do so many weird things because that is what works. After seeing this I asked him how do you go about getting them

GopherHaul 33 - Landscaping and Lawn Care Business Marketing Forum Show.

Saturday, September 4th, 2010
TeamGopher asked:

www.gopherforum.com - Where your phone number should appear in your lawn care website. You would think by the title of this article, the story below would be so simple you didnt even have to read it but that is certainly not the case. Most lawn care business owners dont put much time into where their phone number should appear. Just ask yourself where does your phone number appear? One of our forum members had some great information to share in this post at the Gopher Lawn Care Business Forum. He said You want your phone number PROMINENTLY displayed. You want to make sure you edit your html meta tag description to include your phone number first so your search engine listing will display your lawn care business like this. http - 111-222-3333 Joes lawn care blah blah blah blah blah lawn care in Your City blah blah blah blah blah . For those that dont know, I asked him what is the importance of having your phone number in that location? Why is it so important? He responded by saying Lets say you lawn care services in Somewhere, Arkansas. Your would want to make your web TITLE to read Somewhere Arkansas Lawn Care Service Your DESCRIPTION would be (assuming this is your website name): www.SomewhereLawnCare.com 111-222-3333 Somewhere Arkansas lawn care? We are the lawn service leaders in Somewhere Arkansas. We specialize in landscaping, lawn care, landscape lighting and sprinkler systems in the Somewhere Arkansas area. Follow up after submitting your lawn care or landscaping bid - GopherHaul Podcast

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010
TeamGopher asked:

www.gopherforum.com Once you are contacted by a potential client and meet with them to bid on their property, you arent done yet. Remember to always follow up. This applies to both commercial and residential lawn care customers. Kim asked I was just wondering after someone calls you for a lawn care estimate and you go out meet with them, and then submit a bid, do most of them let you know if you didnt get the job or just kinda blow you off. Tom answered A few things will probably happen 1. They will say something like Geez, that is higher than I thought it would be. At this point you can either haggle with the price or tell them, sorry, that is the price, and stick to your guns. 2. They will say something like when can you start. They agree to the price and want you to do it. 3. Or they say I will have to talk it over with my husband/wife. Nine times out of ten when someone says that, you probably will not get the bid. Now they will either call you back and tell you yes or no, or will not bother calling at all. I recommend that after a few days to give them a call up and ask them if they had any questions in regarding the bid. It helps get the ball rolling again. Kim then asked Okay how about commercial accounts, when they are excepting bids and say were not deciding until the middle of March. Should I call them back then or just hope to hear from them and if I didnt get it will they call and tell me. Or just let it go? Tom said If you havent heard anything after a while
