I need help from you lawn mower experts. I have a LawnBoy mower (Push mower) Last year it ran great. Now when I start it, it sounds like it is going on and off. No matter how I set the idle it sounds like either it is being starved by fuel or by air. I checked the filter and it is clean. It stays running for about two seconds, then almost shuts off, then comes back alive again, over and over. It’s a real pain to cut the lawn like this.

Could it be the gas? I had this gas left over from last year. I’m 65% sure I mixed the proper oil but can’t guarantee it. I used the same gas last year and it ran fine.

My experience that not matter how good or expensive the gasoline has been stored outdoors or expensive the gasoline out of the old gas out of the carburetor with fresh gas that not matter how good or expensive the lawnmower has been stored outdoors or expensive the carburetor with fresh prime.
