17 September 2007 - 15:12Lawn mower problems??
ezioldschool asked:
I have this lawn mower that has a problem staying running, after i prime it 3/4 times it turns on then after only a few seconds it turns off. I changed the spark plug and it seems to be passing sparks fine. I thinks its the carburetor that is not passing gas. Does anybody have any ideas on how to fix it and if i were to take off the caburetor would it be a hasle to put it back on. The lawn mower is a weed eater 4.75hp and i’ve only had it for about a year.
I think that the cabuerator isn’t passing any gas. Any tips on how to fix this?

You should still have a warranty. What about your owners manual ? Do they have a 1-800-number you can call ?

It is an easy job. Watch how the linkage to the carburator goes so you get it back on correctly. Take a digital picture of it before you take it apart. The carb itself is simple and the rebuild kit will have diagrams and instructions. Just take the model number of the engine to the small engine repair shop and get a rebuild kit.
